Colin Ford at The Vale on 4 May

Colin Ford gave a superb talk on Hungarian photography on 4 May. His previous experience as a museum curator and director gave him a unique insight into iconic black and white photographs from a previous era. There was a lively Q&A session in which he also talked about latter day and contemporary photography.

Christmas social evevning

​The club’s social evening and club night was held on 15 December. Four teams ​attempted to answer a broad range of questions (including some fiendish ones) compiled by Alan Roberts. All teams were remarkably close and it came down to a taxing piece of ​arithmetic to allow the ‘Snowman’ team to creep into first place.

Competition 3 was judged by Dave Bennett. Images submitted by the following members were commended or highly commended: Pam Lewis, Norman Walker, Mike Davies, Nick Craddock, Geoff Poole, and Guy Butler-Madden.
