All members are invited to bring in their images (prints or DPIs) from the summer.
Our annual awards night with presentation of the following awards.
Awards
Photographer of the Year (POTY)
POTY Award winners can be identified before the Awards night. They are given in each of the Colour Print, Mono Print, DPI and Combined categories to members with the most ‘1st place’ images in these categories within all 6 competitions. 2nd and 3rd place runners up are awarded.
Plate award
All members are invited to bring in up to a maximum of one Colour Print, one Mono Print and one DPI that they have submitted to Vale internal or external competitions during the season. The process is run exactly as for ‘Internally judged images’ above, and the 3 ‘winners’ are presented with a Plate Award. Winners of POTY cannot win the Plate Award.

Colin Ford, CBE, is a well-known historian, curator and author. He was Director of the UK National Museum of Photography in Bradford and the National Museum of Wales. A summary of his extensive contribution to photography can be found here.
